When it comes to seasonal decorating, I’m such a huge fan of using things I already have on hand and adding in fresh flowers or greens and meaningful touches.  As part of of this year’s Thanksgiving edition of the Blogger Stylin Home Tour, hosted by my talented and dear friend Linsday from The White Buffalo Styling Co., I wanted to keep it simple, yet incorporate some local elements.  This series of tablescape inspiration is set up as a blog hop, so if you’re hopping over here from Kim’s at Sand & Sisal, welcome!  You can start the entire tour here, and since I’m the last blogger for today’s tours, you can pick it up at Jen’s from Tatertots & Jello first thing tomorrow.  They have all been so good!!! I hope you enjoy and find this inspirational for your own special celebration. :-) Happy Thanksgiving to you!

What inspired my table setting were some simple oyster shells that we had in our “shell jar”.  Living in the Pacific Northwest, oysters and other seafood are plentiful.  The shells themselves aren’t always the prettiest, but we had kept some throghout the season that had beautiful purple and blue tones to them.  I picked up some flowers from our local shop and incorporated my table setting goods from World Market and Target.

One of the arrangements, I simpy set a piece of foam in the center and filled the outside of it with smaller seashells.  Then filled the foam with flowers.  Easy peasy. ;-)
