It’s another round of Blogger Stylin’ Home Tours FALL edition and I couldn’t be more thrilled! Hello and welcome to those of you hopping over from Sarah M. Dorsey’s Fall Home Tour! To start from the beginning, head to the blog of the beautiful host of this tour, Lindsay from The White Buffalo Styling Co.
So, Fall is officially my favorite season of the year and always has been growing up in the Pacific Northwest state of Washington. I love it when the air turns crisp and cool, but the rains haven’t come quite yet! It’s not really all that bad, but I’ve learned it makes for quite the different coastal vibe.
I have to say I’m pretty excited for our little tour today, because it feels just so…..well…..us. It’s been so fun sharing sneak peeks on Instagram, my favorite way to connect just fyi (Find me at @thisthatandlife @coastalinteriors and @annekemcconnell – see, I told you – Haha!). So, I tried some new things here and there, “shopped” my house, shopped a few stores, had fun making very “non-pinterest-perfect” caramel apples (you’ve been warned), and in the end just really brought the fall vibe to our home that I absolutely love. The kids are loving our new couple of cozy blankets. They helped me plant our entry flowers and cut sunflowers from the super friendly neighbor’s garden for decorating. It’s a good feeling. We currently live in a little beach house on the water and it’s been such a blessing to make it our home. I hope you enjoy!
The front porch is small, but we have just enough room to add seasonal plants and color.
Come on in! For this tour, I decided to focus on the outside spaces and dining area. I had my fingers crossed to share our entire living room, kitchen and dining room space with you since it is all open and connected, but a sort of big DIY project is taking a little more time than I thought. Let’s just say, it has to do with a couch and so far so good. I can’t wait to share more!
We have pumpkin spice candles galore, but when I found this “fearless” candle, I fell in love with everything about it from the scent to the black sleek look.
Ok, I had such a fun time with our dining table. It’s been awhile since our move and I really miss our huge farmhouse table. We barely fit our family of five here at this table I made, but it works for now.
We LOVE supporting our local wineries!
And out to the back patio. I felt bad that I had to kick my hubby out of the way for photos. Lol He’s a great sport!
Setting things up…..
….super awkward model pose…..LOL #srsly
I tried a different arrangement and caught this neat boat going by – one of my favorite things is seeing all different kinds of boats and sea life! The seals are a little less active right now and the birds are heading south for the winter. It’s so cool to watch it all unfold.
Our son woke up from his nap VERY excited! He staked his claim on the front right caramel apple.
Then just before bed a small rain storm was coming so we moved everything back out of the way and just watched the clouds roll into the sky and the rain stream across the water. Takes your breath away!
I couldn’t help but think of these Bible verses as I saw this…..
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”
