Hello and welcome to those of you coming over from Laura’s at Finding Home or any of the other bloggers contributing to the Blogger Stylin’ Home Tours Favorite Room edition series this week! This is such an inspiring series going on throughout the week with 32 bloggers sharing their favorite rooms – mine currently being A’s bedroom! The BIG reveal is finally here – YAY!!! Thanks again to Lindsay from The White Buffalo Styling Co. for hosting this series!
When I shared the inspiration for A’s big girl room makeover here, I planned to continue on with multiple posts sharing piece by piece how it all came together. But can we all agree that this summer has been CRAZY?! It pretty much flashed before my eyes before it ever even began. So instead of sticking to my posting plan, we ended up heading out for a last minute trip to Silverwood Theme Park in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. We had never been there before and had SO much fun! Long story short, today I am so happy to finally share the BIG reveal of A’s room as part of the Blogger Stylin’ Home Tours Favorite Room Edition! All the details will come after in the following weeks. Promise. You have no idea how excited I am to get back to a normal schedule! And for those of you popping in for the first time, the story is that this was a BIG surprise for my daughter’s 9th birthday. She hasn’t had her own room since her sister was born 7 years ago. We switched ALL the rooms in the house while the kids went camping with Grandma and they came home, imagine their surprise when the house was still in a bit of disarray (swithching rooms is just like moving and took way longer than I thought it would), and a BIG “surprise in their room”. Haha! Check out her reaction below – it’s priceless!!!
I think I’ve watched that video a few dozen times I love it so much! Hahaha! She was in total shock, so I’d say mission accomplished! We had originally intended for this room to be an office/guest/music room, but it just wasn’t working out. Here’s what we ended up within a week’s time changing it into a special place for her. I hope you love it as much as we do!
She got right to work filling up her wardrobe and taking care of details like organizing her desk and special treasures.
Remember all details will be coming in the following weeks and next up in the tour series is my sweet friend Jennifer from Dimples and Tangles – you don’t want to miss it! Be sure to check out the fave room tours from all the bloggers in today’s line-up!
If you’d like to check out last year’s editions, you can find the Fall home tours HERE and Christmas home tours HERE. Fall is my fave so I am ready for leather boots and sweaters!!! And just for fun, I leave you with what A’s room looked like “BEFORE” during the vacation rental days.
Enjoy the rest of the series this week!
Thanks for stopping by today!
