Hello and welcome to those of you coming over from Laura’s at Finding Home or any of the other bloggers contributing to the Blogger Stylin’ Home Tours Favorite Room edition series this week!  This is such an inspiring series going on throughout the week with 32 bloggers sharing their favorite rooms – mine currently being A’s bedroom! The BIG reveal is finally here – YAY!!!  Thanks again to Lindsay from The White Buffalo Styling Co. for hosting this series!

Blogger Stylin' Home Tours Favorite Room Edition

When I shared the inspiration for A’s big girl room makeover here, I planned to continue on with multiple posts sharing piece by piece how it all came together.  But can we all agree that this summer has been CRAZY?!  It pretty much flashed before my eyes before it ever even began.  So instead of sticking to my posting plan, we ended up heading out for a last minute trip to Silverwood Theme Park in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  We had never been there before and had SO much fun!  Long story short, today I am so happy to finally share the BIG reveal of A’s room as part of the Blogger Stylin’ Home Tours Favorite Room Edition!  All the details will come after in the following weeks. Promise.  You have no idea how excited I am to get back to a normal schedule!  And for those of you popping in for the first time, the story is that this was a BIG surprise for my daughter’s 9th birthday.  She hasn’t had her own room since her sister was born 7 years ago.  We switched ALL the rooms in the house while the kids went camping with Grandma and they came home, imagine their surprise when the house was still in a bit of disarray (swithching rooms is just like moving and took way longer than I thought it would), and a BIG “surprise in their room”.  Haha! Check out her reaction below – it’s priceless!!!

I think I’ve watched that video a few dozen times I love it so much! Hahaha!  She was in total shock, so I’d say mission accomplished! We had originally intended for this room to be an office/guest/music room, but it just wasn’t working out.  Here’s what we ended up within a week’s time changing it into a special place for her.  I hope you love it as much as we do!

  14. I love what you did with desk! My 10 yr old wants one for Christmas and I’m wondering how the desk has been holding up for you. Thanks for your help!

    • Hi Sarah! The desk has been holding up great! She doesn’t use it much for craft projects but other than that, homework, art, etc., it has held up wonderfully!

  15. Hello, would you mind sharing where you purchased the floral chair and gold floor mirror? Thanks!

    • No problem! The chair is from World Market and the mirror is from Ikea. The mirror is originally silver, but we spray painted it gold. :-)
