It’s a big day in my neck of the woods and I couldn’t be more excited to introduce to you Lindsay from The White Buffalo Styling Co.! I love Lindsay beyond measure and how she has really “come to terms” with her style. I feel like our homes really become just that when we embrace what we love instead of fighting it or putting other’s tastes and trends upon ourselves. She’s done just that and I LOVE her style! I’ve personally already threatened to take her Chesterfield Sofa on a life-long loan and her styling is just SO good you guys…..hence the name???
One of my fave projects of hers? The Accordian Style Light Fixture Ikea Hack Yup….she did THAT!
Pretty awesome huh??? So, I wanted to say so much more about Lindsay to introduce you, but she pretty much says everything that I was going to, so I’m just going to hand it over to her now!
I’m Lindsay from The White Buffalo Styling Co.
I met Anneke for the first time at Haven. Y’all, I cannot say enough about how much I love Anneke! We have quickly become best friends in this lovely blog world and I am so grateful. My highlight of Haven was staying up really late on Saturday talking to Anneke and Jesse of Scout and Nimble.
We talked about blogs, but even more importantly, we shared our dreams and our hearts. Don’t you love times like that? Where you meet someone and two days later, you’re bearing your soul to them? Well, Anneke is one of those people. And just like her, I’ve fallen in love with her blog and am so grateful to be here!
I have been blogging for two years, but The White Buffalo Styling Co. is a new venture for me. I love styling homes and parties. I believe that our style reflects the rich backgrounds and experiences that make up our lives.
I lived for years loving design, but unsure of what mine was. I finally discovered that my style is so inspired by my life. I grew up on a farm in rural South Carolina and have a deep love of country. Now, I live with my husband and Great Dane, Gracie, in a more urban downtown area and have developed a real love for modern design.
I love, antlers, navajo, and the color white. Seriously, every room in my house is painted white. I don’t care too much for perfection and instead, I celebrate flaws. I love pieces that have a soul and a history.
The meaning behind “The White Buffalo” has a lot to do with my design and styling philosophy. It’s a bit of a long story and I don’t want to take up Anneke’s whole post with that, so click here to learn more about why White Buffalo and what that means for my designs
My husband loves to renovate like I love to design and we are currently on our second house. We bought a little downtown cottage back in February and have been loving her back to life. We went without a kitchen for five months, but finally got the white kitchen of my dreams.
Styling those open shelves made me almost as happy as finally being able to cook a meal at our home after so long!
About a month ago, we finally got to the best part of this project: the make it pretty phase! We are working every day to tweak and style rooms. I used to say “finish” rooms and I’ve realized that’s just ridiculous for me. Y’all, I tweak things every single day. In fact, our lounge (the room up above with the fireplace) has already changed since I posted it last week. I have a problem…our maybe I’m doing exactly what I should be with a styling blog…or maybe I’m a bit crazy. Anyway, I love what I do.
You can see more of our home here.
In addition to styling up homes, I love styling parties. One of my favorites that we’ve done was this fall party from last year.
We have a couple planned for this year and I am so excited!
For me, styling and The White Buffalo is about beauty, but it’s even bigger than that. It’s about celebrating life through creating beauty. At The White Buffalo, we’re working towards that every day and sure do hope you’ll follow along on our adventure!
Anneke, thanks so much for having me!
