Welcome to Day 3 of the Beach House Reveal! For those popping in, you can check out the first post ever way back here.
I’ve actually been getting several questions and thought I should clarify a few things. This is a home we have fixed up to be a vacation rental and we are currently working on the official rental site available through vrbo.com. We are planning to get the link up and going by the end of this week. We have a couple small things to wrap up over the next few weeks (adding wifi, that kind of small stuff), but it IS available immediately.
Ok, so onto today’s reveal. We moving on upstairs and taking a left into the main bathroom. As you saw in yesterday’s post, the before pictures are pretty awesome when it comes to “befores”! ;-) The showerhead on the main shower was actually half-way down, like kid height. Weird. And the corner shower was just a tiny little cave…I’m 5’3″ and it felt tiny tiny tiny. The whole room just felt so closed in and small.
sorry for the out of focus pict. :-/
So, what better way to open it up and make it all amazing than by doing this.
Doesn’t it feel so much more light and open now?!
We chose to keep the vanity, mirrors, and faucets.
We added a new light – lightinguniverse.com
New flooring. It was originally 12×12 tile with cracked grout.
Lucite bench – Overstock.com
Bath Mat – Fred Meyer
I don’t know about you, but seriously, every time I walk into this bathroom
I just envision a bridal party getting ready for the big day or something! Lol
Since my father-in-law is a builder, we hired this out,
so no diy tips for you here. It was worth hiring out though!
It’s finished dimensions are around 42″ x 72″. I need to double check that one!
Next we move onto the upper master bedroom. When you reach the top of the stairs you take a right and go straight into this room. I’ll admit it right now….this room is my favorite. It has a view of the water and high vaulted ceilings. Spacious, yet cozy. I love it.
Refinished Craigslist Dresser and Nightstand
Art from World Maps book at Half Price Books
Chair and Blanket Basket from The Farm Chicks Show in Spokane, WA
Frames and Lamps – TJMaxx
Wood and Iron End Table – Hobby Lobby
I will be doing a budget recap shortly,
but just to give you and idea, you are looking at about $1000 here before the cost of the mattress.
I hope you have enjoyed these reveals! Tomorrow will be the Bunk Room!
You can see the reveal of the Beach House Project at the links below.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Again, for reference, we hired a very good friend of mine to come and take some pro HDR photos of the entire place, which are specified under the pictures as *khdrr*.
